  Rear Admiral Peter Brady

Director General, Maritime Authority of Jamaica

Rear Admiral Peter Brady is Director General of the Maritime Authority of Jamaica, and Chairman of the IMO Standards of Training and Watchkeeping (STW) Sub-Committee.

RADM Brady has broad experience in senior and executive management in Military (Defense Force)/Coast Guard affairs nationally and regionally in the Caribbean, and internationally, including in the past serving as the Chief of Defense Staff for the Jamaica Defense Force, President of the Marine Board of Jamaica, and Visiting Lecturer at the Maritime University in Sweden. RADM Brady has also consulted and assisted the government of Jamaica on marine policy making and marine transportation matters affecting safety, security, marine environmental protection, standards of training and competency for seafarers and casualty investigations as a member of various corporate boards and maritime councils.

RADM Brady has a post-graduate degree in Marine Management at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada and is a graduate of the Royal Naval Staff College in Greenwich, London.
